The Justice Ministry's so-called restrictions are completely unfounded and illegal

Despite the imposition of new restrictions on the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili's lawyers, politicians and empathy experts still plan to visit the Gori Military Hospital today.

Lawyer Shota Tutberidze believes the decision of the government to limit the visits of the third president is absolutely ungrounded and at the same time illegal.

"The so-called restrictions imposed yesterday by the enraged and embittered penitentiary service and the Ministry of Justice to impose sanctions against Mikheil Saakashvili are absolutely unfounded and illegal, because the right of the lawyer to visit the detainee is the right which they have no reason to restrict. I do not know what became the legal basis for these restrictions," Shota Tutberidze said.
