Mikheil Saakashvili abducted from Gori hospital | After a 9-hour silence, the penitentiary issued a statement

After a 9-hour silence, the Special Penitentiary Service issues its first statement regarding the third president and writes that Mikheil Saakashvili is in the 12th penitentiary in Rustavi.

He has been transferred from the Gori hospital to the prison "in full compliance with the law", the agency says.

"Due to high public interest, we clarify that on December 30 this year convict/accused Mikhail Saakashvili has been transferred from Giorgi Abramishvili military hospital of the Ministry of Defense to penitentiary institution #12 in full accordance with the law," the penitentiary institution said.
