The Tbilisi City Court found Mamuka Kazaradze, Badri Japaridze and Avtandil Tsereteli guilty.

According to the judge Mamuka Khazaradze, Badri Japaridze and Avtandil Tsereteli were sentenced to 7-7 years in prison but due to the statute of limitations they were released.

It is noteworthy that the money laundering article was reclassified by the judge and replaced with an article on fraud. Specifically, Giorgi Arevadze found them guilty under Article 180, paragraph 2, subparagraph A and paragraph 3, subparagraph B of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which, implies premeditated fraud on a large scale by a group.

At the same time, the bail imposed on the defendants, the seizure of property and the ban on crossing the border were lifted.

The defendants were not present at the sentencing. Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze were waiting for the verdict in the office of Lelo party and Avtandil Tsereteli - in the office of TV Pirveli.

We should remind that so-called money laundering case refers to the 11 years old transaction. Prosecutor's Office accuses Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze of laundering of 16,754,000 dollars of illegal income, which was accompanied by receipt of especially large sums of money. The case concerns a banking operation carried out in 2008.
