"I have no respect for Ivanishvili's court! I respect the Georgian people" - Mikheil Saakashvili to the judge

"You are as much a judge as I am an astronaut," Mikheil Saakashvili told the Tbilisi City Court judge in the case of the third president's border crossing.

Mikheil Saakashvili addressed the judge after he was interrupted several times.

"You are as much a judge as I am an astronaut. I am addressing the Georgian people. I am not going to look Ivanishvili's court in the eyes, you will be looked at by the Georgian people in the eyes and I will look into theirs. You are nobody at all. I stand here in front of the Georgian people and nobody can interrupt me. If you do, the Georgian people will answer you" - said Mikhail Saakashvili.

The judge then urged him to maintain order and told him that he was "in the courtroom", to which the third president responded:

"I know exactly where I am. This hall was built by me, this flag was made by me, this chair was placed by me, the auditorium was made by me, and this cage was built by me as well. I do not need your explanations. I have no respect for Ivanishvili's court. I respect the Georgian people," Mikheil Saakashvili told the judge.
