Georgia's third president Mikheil Saakashvili addressed his supporters at the end of his speech at the ongoing trial at Tbilisi City Court.
He called on citizens to unite and said that by peaceful, powerful steps the country will be freed from oligarchic rule and a golden age will come again.
"I want to tell you this, now we will be tried to divide, bribe, throw money and all that, but no amount of money will change what we can achieve with our unity and cohesion this winter, this spring.
We need unity now, we are preparing for the crucial week, day and month, but we are preparing. I am also your active partner in this big story for our country. I want to pay respects to all the people who are fighting. We must not give up, we must not let go, we must hold each others hands firmly, raise our hands and peacefully, powerfully, strongly and under the banner of national reconciliation we will save Georgia!
Georgia will by all means be free and strong. Georgia cannot be walked over or undone. They cannot cancel us, they cannot shut us down, they cannot stop us! We have drive too, we are capable, we are talented, unlike there dropouts, we have done a lot more different things than they have. The golden age will come again in Georgia, as it was 9 years ago and much better. The mistakes that were made will not repeat themselves, including the mistake of nature - this court.
I am ending my speech and we are beginning a new, very important stage of struggle, which will lead to the liberation of Georgia, de-oligarchization, and the establishment of freedom. Freedom is our main motivation today" - said Mikhail Saakashvili.
