The US ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, has reacted on the contract killing case. Kelly Degnan says the safety of journalists and media managers in the country must be ensured.

"I have no information on this case. I understand Nika Gvaramia's concerns and I hope they will take the issue seriously. The safety of journalists is one of the most fundamental principles. They should have the right to act without intimidation or harassment. Especially without such issues as we are talking about " said Kelly Degnan
