The Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke to his Ukrainian counterpart today. Information about the telephone conversation with Dmytro Kuleba is released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.

During the conversation, David Zalkaliani reiterated Georgia's unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and expressed firm support during the current difficult situation. The Minister also noted that Georgia and Ukraine are facing common challenges related to the occupation.

The sides exchanged information about the ongoing processes and the current situation along the borders of Ukraine. They also talked about communication with high ranking representatives of Ukraine and Georgia in parallel with the ongoing dialogue between the western partners and Russia.

In this context, the sides appreciated the support of the international partners and their unequivocal position that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and Ukraine, as well as the sovereign right of the two countries to choose their future and their European and Euro Atlantic aspirations, this is a red line that will not be renegotiated and decisions regarding Georgia or Ukraine will not be made without their participation. International platforms and close ties between Georgia and Ukraine were stressed during the phone conversation. The ministers agreed to continue high-level contacts to exchange information on ongoing processes and exchange positions," the Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
