The Ukrainian Rada plans to create a parliamentary commission to investigate the torture and inhuman treatment of Mikheil Saakashvili," Eka Kherkheulidze reports.
One of the leaders and MP's of the UNM is in Kiev with her colleagues and meets with Rada deputies. According to her, Ukrainian politicians are interested in the fate of their fellow citizens and understand that Mikheil Saakashvili needs to get out of jail for health reasons. Their request is aimed at one question, how can they help us return our citizen, a citizen of Ukraine, to the country," Eka Kherkheulidze said.
According to Kherkheulidze, the Georgian opposition held high-level meetings. The main topic of conversation is the difficult situation in Ukraine, but Mikheil Saakashvili was also on the agenda:
"You know that there are plans to set up a commission to investigate Mikheil Saakashvili's inhuman treatment and torture in Georgia and and the Ukrainian Rada plans to set up a similar commission to investigate the torture and inhuman treatment of their own citizen," Kherkheulidze said.
Kherkheulidze also said there was an opinion to create an interparliamentary group on the health of Mikheil Saakashvili, which will include representatives from Georgia, Ukraine, Poland and Moldova.
