There is no need for an investigation commission, the UNM uses this as a justification for their return to the parliament - Macharashvili

Georgian Dream MP Guram Macharashvili says there is "no need" for a commission to investigate torture and inhuman treatment of the third president.

According to Macharashvili, all the questions related to Mikheil Saakashvili have been answered. According to him, the initiative to create the commission was a pretext for the "National Movement" to return to the legislative body.

"The health and legal status of this prisoner is absolutely known to the public, and all the bodies that were and are involved regulate his health and legal status in accordance with the law.  Therefore, there is no need to create this commission. Moreover, the fact that the United National Movement came up with the idea of creating a commission means that it is the reason for its return to the parliament," Macharashvili said.
