The Parliamentary Committee on Procedures and Rules dismissed MP Shalva Natelashvili, leader of the Labor Party, Elene Khoshtaria, leader of the Droa Party, and Badri Japaridze, leader of the Lelo party.
In the case of Badri Japaridze, the Committee cited a norm in the Georgian Constitution and Rules of Procedure, according to which, if a member of parliament is found guilty by a court verdict that has entered into legal force, his or her powers must be terminated and in the cases of Elene Khoshtaria and Shalva Natelashvili, the committee found that 15 plenary sessions were held during the fall session, and that both Natelashvili and Khoshtaria missed all 15 sessions for unjustified reasons, resulting in early termination.
