Mikheil Saakashvili's trial has begun

The trial of Georgia's third president began in Tbilisi City Court in the so-called jacket case. Mikheil Saakashvili is present at the session. He is addressing the public even today.

Lawyers again demand the interrogation of the head of the Special Service of State Protection Anzor Chubinidze. According to the lawyers, the interrogation of Chubinidze will prove that the representation expenses, the "embezzlement" of which Saakashvili is accused of are completely legal.

Simultaneously with the session a rally is taking place in the court yard. Supporters of the third president gathered there and demanded the release of Mikheil Saakashvili.
