The Ukrainian prosecutor's office has declared Mikheil Saakashvili a victim

Mikheil Saakashvili has been recognized as a victim. The decision of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, which is investigating the facts of violence against the third president became known only recently. Ukrainian law enforcers are investigating a possible abuse of power by their Georgian colleagues.

The Ukrainian legislation allows an investigative body to initiate a criminal case in case of a crime against a citizen of the country. This means that Georgian law enforcers might face charges in Ukraine.
