"The mandates that were taken away from the opposition should be filled with proportional lists" | UNM initiative

The United National Movement calls on the parliament to restore the proportional lists made by the opposition parties. Khatia Dekanoidze held a special briefing on the subject.

She said that all the mandates of the opposition parties should be returned and it will actually be the proportion that the people showed in the elections.

"In order for all the parties in the Parliament of Georgia with the mandate given  by the Georgian people, which today will be withdrawn by decree Ivanishvili, Badri Japaridze and Shalva Natelashvili must be filled with open, proportional lists, which was given by people in the elections. This was given to these political parties under pressure, but still in elections," Dekanoidze said.

Dekanoidze says the Dream is afraid of the creation of the commission to investigate the inhumane treatment of Mikheil Saakashvili and therefore suspends the mandates of opposition MPs.

"I want to address the Georgian Dream. By no means will the opposition stop fighting in any city of Georgia. Moreover, we will get stronger, we will continue to work in the commission to investigate the inhuman treatment of Mikheil Saakashvili, work with our Ukrainian colleagues, we will go there and tell everyone, including Brussels, where we are going to appoint special hearings on Mikheil Saakashvili, so the world understand the political regime in Georgia, "- said Khatia Dekanoidze.
