Georgia's third president responded to Ukraine's Day of Unity. The statement was spread on his Facebook page:

"Do you remember September 1, 2008, the Day of Unity and the human chain! I am very glad that Ukrainians also learn very well from Georgia's experience of that time. Today is the Day of Unity in Ukraine. I am there with all my heart. I'm sure many, many people will come out". Mikheil Saakashvili writes
