"Excessively harsh rhetoric demanded by opponents will provoke war"

"We have a very clear position on the issue of Ukraine, which was reflected in the resolution adopted by the Parliament of Georgia - there are only a few countries in the world that have adopted such a parliamentary resolution on Ukraine, and Georgia is one of them. We have expressed our solidarity with the Ukrainian people, which was an important step on our part, and we are focused on the main task, which is to prevent a war, and all steps have to be taken here, including the rhetoric.

Our spirit can be seen in everything, in every step we take. As far as solidarity with the Ukrainian people is concerned, our support is unquestionable. It is not in our hands to play a decisive role in preventing war, but beyond that we can show solidarity with our friendly Ukrainian people. The excessively harsh rhetoric demanded by our opponents, we think, will pour more water into the discourse of provoking war than what we want - to prevent war."
