Mikheil Saakashvili's human rights activists have called on the state inspector to release the video footage once again.
According to the lawyers, the so-called videotape of the watch episode, which shows the guards, is deleted.
The video was reviewed by lawyers for the third president at the State Inspectorate, but the footage of the violence, of which the full material should have been preserved, has been deleted.
The only footage in the file is from the guard's shoulder camera, which shows Michael Saakashvili being abused, although the defence suggests there were other people involved in the incident who were not seen on the shoulder camera.
"The content of this incomplete video is more severe than we expected. It appears that there were other people in the room who probably shouldn't have been there and because of this the footage has been deleted. After the video has been released, the Georgian citizens will have no doubt as to how immoral and criminal the current authorities are behaving towards the third President of Georgia," said lawyer Dimitri Sadzaglishvili.
