Violence against journalists - Mtavari Channel journalist and cameraman were physically assaulted during confrontation at the Kaspi City Council

There is a commotion in Kaspi - the council meeting is taking place amid protests.

Council members gather in the session hall, where they have to vote for changes to the budget. It turns out that the City Hall is asking for over 80 thousand GEL to buy a jeep, which the opposition does not agree with.

The Georgian Dream representatives are in an aggressive posture towards the opposition and journalists.

Mtavari Channel's correspondent told us a few minutes ago that after the live broadcasting, the police and City Council members violently forced the journalists out of the hall of the City Council building.

According to him, they have bodily injuries and equipment was also damaged. The cameraman was also injured.
