Starting today I declare an indefinite hunger strike

Georgia's third president is on hunger strike again. He announced this during his speech at the ongoing trial in Tbilisi City Court.

I am announcing an indefinite hunger strike in full as of today, and this is a reaction to the way the regime is treating me and my people. My health comes last here," said Mikheil Saakashvili, noting that he took this decision despite his serious health condition. The main requirement is receiving medical care:

My request is to provide proper medical care in accordance with the requirements of the Public Defender Council and the Center of Empathy, and I am convinced that international experts, if they were allowed in, I am sure they would have sais exactly the same thing.

"This is a specific demand and not to allow another intimidated doctor and then fire their husband or expel their child from an institute," Mikheil Saakashvili said in a court speech.
