Heroic Ukrainian soldier destroys main bridge in Kherson region to deter enemy and is killed in the explosion

The Ukrainian Defence Ministry has published a photo of a Ukrainian serviceman who, according to them, blew up the main bridge in Kherson Region in order to stop the Russian invaders, but died in the ensuing explosion. For this heroism, Marine Vitaliy Vladimirovich will be awarded a state award.

"His heroic behaviour significantly slowed the enemy's advance, allowing the unit to redeploy and conduct defensive operations," the department said in a statement.
