Most of the self-employed will not receive 300 GEL compensation

Most of the self-employed will not be able to receive compensation in the amount of GEL 300 announced by the government. One of the reasons is the complicated bureaucratic procedures they have to go through in order to submit the relevant documentation for receiving compensation.

Experts in this field say that the sum is small and the scheme is complicated. Economists do not rule out that the problem may involve  corruption risks.

Most of the companies are connected with the Georgian Dream, fictitious agreements will be signed and the groups close to the Dream will benefit again, - said Irakli Kipiani.

It is known that the issuance of compensation for the self-employed has not yet begun and the State is in the process of creating a common  database.

I have heard from many companies and self-employees that when it comes to the essence it is difficult to get help allocated for this purpose," - says Giga Bedineishvili.

Recall that there are about 880 thousand self-employed people in the country, and the government has allocated only 75 million GEL for the program.
