Political movement "Lelo" demands an investigation be launched on the basis of a TV interview with former Minister of Economy Giorgi Kobulia. Lelo representatives filed an application with the prosecutor's office.
Giorgi Kobulia spoke about systemic corruption and schemes in the government circles and state companies in the program "Guest of the Day" on the "Main Channel".
Lelo believes that the Prosecutor General's Office is obligated to take an interest in the corruption scheme voiced by a former high-ranking official.
We demand that the investigation be launched on the basis of the statement of Mr. Kobulia, former Minister of Economy. There is every reason to question this man since he seems to have very serious information about the names and specific schemes, - said Mr. Gigla Mikautadze, a member of Lelo.
