Government gives over 50,000 square meters of land in Bakuriani to Ivanishvili

The government of Georgia gave Bidzina Ivanishvili 50,000 square meters of land in Bakuriani in exchange for 3,500 square meters, said Bakar Shiradze, a member of the Borjomi City Council from European Georgia.

He says the replacement agreement was signed by Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia on February 21, 2020, Order 359, which has not yet been uploaded on the government website.

There was a corrupt deal between feudal lord Bidzina Ivanishvili and the state. In exchange for this small building, Bidzina Ivanishvili was given 50 thousand square meters of land in Bakuriani. Almost all of Bakuriani has been declared a recreational zone and almost no one is allowed to carry out construction works there. People have been deprived of their right to private property, and in the meantime, what we see is that feudal Ivanishvili receives a 50,000-square-meter plot of land in the recreation area and in the forest zone, ” - said Bakar Shiradze.

The government is preparing the territory received from Bidzina Ivanishvili for the 2023 World Snowboarding Championship. The building is located near Didveli ski slope.
