Strategic partners will not forgive the Dream for rigging elections - strict message from the US

International partners will not forgive Georgian Dream for rigging the elections - based on statements made after the visit of the US Ambassador to the Prosecutor's Office, the opposition is convinced that the authorities have received a stern message from the US.

Opponents of the government say that the statement of the Ambassador of the main strategic partner in non-diplomatic language meant only one thing: there is no trust in the Georgian Dream and the Dream should no longer dare to intimidate voters in the 2020 elections.

In diplomatic language, Kelly Degnan said directly after the first meeting with Irakli Shotadze that one of the main issues of the discussion was the 2020 elections. According to her, the Prosecutor General is responsible for the complaints about voter bribery and intimidation.

The majority perceived the messages conveyed in a very different way.  Members of Georgian Dream say that such meetings are usually held and that this pre-election meeting does not have any special importance.

Ambassador Degnan arrived at the Prosecutor's Office yesterday afternoon. Along with the elections, the main topic of discussion was the cooperation with the USA on legal and extradition issues.
