Kelly Degnan attends Certification Exercise in Vaziani

US Ambassador Kelly Degnan was in Vaziani with the Minister of Defense, where the Georgian military was preparing for an international mission. Degnan together with Irakli Gharibashvili attended the exercises.
“This exercise is another bright point in the more than 10-year history of this program, with Georgia taking the lead in planning, executing and hosting. Georgia has now demonstrated not only its commitment to supporting NATO, but also its capacity to train and certify its own defense units for these missions”, - said Degnan.
Ambassador Degnan personally thanked the brave Georgian soldiers for their service and wished them well as they prepared to depart on their mission to Afghanistan.
