I embody the very clear wish of the Georgian people to take to the streets in support of Ukraine - Zurabishvili

"I embody a very clear wish of the Georgian people to take to the streets in support of Ukraine," President Salome Zurabishvili told RFI during her visit to Paris.

The journalist asked Zurabishvili about the ties between oligarch Ivanishvili and Putin and the impact of these ties on Georgia's foreign policy.

"He [Ivanishvili] is no longer directly involved in politics. I am president, I personify foreign policy and represent Georgia outside of it, I don't think there are any leaders more pro-European in this region than me in the east of the EU and I represent very clearly the wish of the Georgian people who have taken to the streets since the first day of aggression against Ukraine, even though it might one day lead to Russian aggression. We are going the European way, with some difficulties, but that's because it lasts a very long time," Zurabishvili said.
