The Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky made a new statement. The president at war once again said that Ukraine will definitely win the war.
"Today is the tenth day of the war. Today is Saturday, which in war means nothing like Monday or Wednesday. Every day has become the same. Every day, we defend our homeland in the same way and fight in the same way. It doesn't matter if these are weekends, we will continue. This is how we will come to victory.
The Ukrainian army stands firm in all positions. The occupiers are being counterattacked. They control Kharkov, Kiev, Nikolaev, Sumy and Chernigov. The occupiers are suffering such serious losses that they could not have imagined in their darkest dreams.
The Russian troops did not reach their target, although they did reach almost 10,000 casualties. Horrifyingly, these are 18-20 year old soldiers - almost children - who cannot even explain why they fought and why they ended up in a foreign country. Russia could have given them something else instead of death," Volodymyr Zelensky said.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian President focused on the details of the negotiations with the leaders of Poland and France and said that he had communicated with partners regarding Ukraine's accession to the European Union. He also thanked the people of friendly countries for their support.
"Yesterday I spoke to the presidents of France and Poland. I am grateful to both of them, especially Andrzej Duda, who is loyal to our faith and to our cause. We managed to avert a humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Ukrainian border. Thousands of Ukrainian children and women were accepted. Nobody asks them where they come from or how much money they have. Today, we don't have a border with Poland because we stand together on the side of good. I am sure that soon there will be no more danger, and we will be able to tell our citizens to go back to their homeland.
I am grateful to Europeans. Hundreds of thousands of people have gathered in different cities, including Bratislava, Vilnius, Frankfurt, Lyon, Paris, Tbilisi and Prague to show their support for Ukraine. I am grateful for Americans, their bipartisan support and the solidarity of ordinary citizens. 74% of Americans support the closure of Ukraine's skies. What more is needed to make this decision! I am sure there is similar support in other countries," Zelensky said.
