More than 140,000 Ukrainians have returned, more than 20,000 foreigners ready to fight for Ukraine

Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov says more than 140,000 Ukrainians have returned from Europe and tens of thousands have joined the defence forces to defend the country. He says there have already been more than 20,000 applications from foreign nationals willing to come and fight on Kyiv's side.

"Dear Ukrainians! The 11th day of heroic resistance has come to an end. Due to the huge losses suffered by the enemy, the intensity of fighting has temporarily decreased, but the Russian occupiers are trying to concentrate forces to launch a new wave of attacks, our soldiers are fighting the Russian army everywhere, our government is doing everything possible to provide humanitarian corridors.

Russians do not keep their word. They don't show mercy to children, women, wounded and the wounded. They opened fire on civilians during the evacuation.

More than 140,000 Ukrainians, mostly men, returned from Europe. Tens of thousands have joined the Territorial Defence Forces. The whole world sees how the Ukrainian people are fighting for their country.

We have already received over 20,000 appeals from foreigners who are willing to come to Ukraine and defend themselves against Russian Nazis. Russia does not understand what self-organization is and what real trust is between the government and the citizens. For decades, the Russians have been destroying the freedom and dignity of their people in order to get an obedient population. We will take back the towns and villages temporarily occupied by the invaders. Kherson, Kakhovka, Melitopol and Berdyansk have proved that this is possible. The nation is united. Glory to Ukraine! ", says Reznikov.
