With so many victims, with so much suffering and misery, and with terrorism against our people and war - you are not to be celebrated- these are the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to whom he is addressing today and speaking at length about the situation in the country.

The invaders have launched air strikes on the city of Sumy. One of the most peaceful towns, which has never posed a threat to Russia. The occupiers are doing all this on purpose. The situation is dire in Mariupol, where communication, water and electricity have been cut off. A child died of dehydration. Partners, do you understand me? A child died of dehydration in 2022. We have been at war for 13 days, and we have been destroying the enemy wherever we can, But there is the sky from where hundreds of Russian cruise missiles fly, where hundreds of occupant planes fly. We are also destroying Russian aviation with our own forces. Imagine that Russia has not lost as many planes in any war in the last 30 years as they lost in 13 days in Ukraine. But that's not enough, because they have quite a lot of left to kill people. They have quite a few 500 Kilogram bombs to bomb us. These bombs have been dropped on Kharkiv, Odessa, Kiev, Chernihiv, Kherson, Sumy and other cities.

Millions of Ukrainians have only heard promises for 13 days - promises that we will now be helped and given planes.

Russia is to blame for the deaths of every Ukrainian killed in this war, but the responsibility lies with the people somewhere in the West, in their offices, who have delayed making the necessary decisions. People who have not yet secured the skies of Ukraine.

Hundreds of thousands of people in the border regions are on the brink of life and death. In the full sense of the word, on the brink of life and death, not as you hear in the comments of people promising to deliver vital planes.

I have seen many agreements to help us, including the opening of a humanitarian corridor in Mariupol, but nothing! But we no longer have time to wait, Mariupol has no time. The occupiers want to kill our people, which they have done many times. Each of us will hold them accountable and judge them harshly.

Today the evacuation of citizens, as well as foreign students, has begun from Sumy, do you know what is happening? International Committee of the Red Cross - Evacuation organizers are forbidding the use of the symbol. Do you understand what is happening?! The Red Cross is doing this! That's saying a lot. It seems many have decided to cross the line for the Ukrainian people, but I will not allow it! I am in contact with the leaders of many countries, and I am grateful for their support, but there are issues we cannot resolve.

Only when fears in Western capitals are overcome and a decision is made will the Ukrainian sky become safe. This can only be done in unity. If the world stands on the sidelines, it will lose itself. Forever. But there is one inviolable value for everyone, called life, and that is the right. That is what we Ukrainians are fighting for in our homeland. Glory to Ukraine! "Says Zelensky.
