The Hague Tribunal has issued the first warrants for the arrest of three senior South Ossetian officials

The Hague Tribunal in the August war case Issued the first arrest warrants for three high-ranking South Ossetian officials. The information was recently released by The Hague Tribunal. It is known that the warrants were issued by Hague Tribunal prosecutor Karim Khan:

These high-ranking officials:

  • Mikhail Miramovich Mindzaev, a lieutenant general who was appointed de facto minister of interior of South Ossetia in 2005 and held the post until 31 October 2008;
  • Hamlet Guchmazov, head of the South Ossetian de facto interior ministry's investigative isolator;
  • David Georgievich Sanakoev, representative of the de facto President of the Republic of South Ossetia during the human rights investigation.
