The health condition of Georgia's third president is alarming. Mikheil Saakashvili's condition has worsened after a second hunger strike.

He had to be rushed to a civil hospital yesterday, where he was examined and it was confirmed that without immediate treatment his life could be in danger.

Members of the Alternative Council demand immediate access to the Rustavi prison and his relatives say it is impossible to treat him in such conditions and he must be taken to a clinic in the West.
