Russia imposes sanctions on Joe Biden

Russia has imposed sanctions against US officials. Among them are President Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, US presidential security adviser Jake Sullivan and CIA head William Barnes.

For the record, the US has imposed sanctions on Russia over the invasion of Ukraine. The personal financial sanctions affect political elites close to Putin and members of his family.

In addition, Joe Biden's decision will ban the import of Russian oil into the US. The ban also applies to liquefied natural gas and coal.
