The Patriarch dared to say what the Georgian government could not - Mikheil Saakashvili

Georgia's third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, responded to the patriarch's call before the court yesterday.

According to him, Ilia II dared to say what the government could not.

"Yesterday the Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II asked us all, he spoke about Russian military actions in Ukraine, in these terms. He said, he dared to say what the Georgian government didn't dare to say, and he gave us all, and he asked us to pray today, from 12 pm to 1 pm for peace in Ukraine," Mikheil Saakashvili said.

Mikheil Saakashvili offered a prayer in Ukrainian at the trial. He said that everything is needed now, both prayer and action.
