We are helped by the invaluable experience gained by Georgia in 2008 in the fight against Russia and by the firm stance of then President Mikheil Saakashvili," Ukrainian Rada MP Olena Shuliak said in a letter to Georgia:
We are helped by Georgia's invaluable experience in fighting Russia in 2008 and the firm stance of then President Mikheil Saakashvili. We have seen an example of how to fight a much stronger enemy than you, by implementing unprecedented reforms in the country and making it a paragon.
Now our team needs the invaluable experience of Mikheil Saakashvili. His presence in Kyiv would accelerate our victory even more. I am sure he wants the same, as millions of Georgians who support Ukraine. I believe that soon we will stand shoulder to shoulder, not only to defend Kyiv, but also to develop it and liberate it from Russian influence forever.
Today, with the strong support of the Georgian people, we feel that Georgians are our brothers, who, unlike some individuals, support us wholeheartedly," the Servant of the People MP wrote.
