The Ukrainian president's office responds to the German chancellor's statement and calls it incorrect. Zelensky's adviser Mykhailo Podolyak writes that Chancellor Scholz is trying to justify his indecision by initiating a split between Russian citizens and Putin.

"Chancellor Scholz, trying to justify his indecision, proposes to separate ordinary Russians and Putin as the author of the war. This may be a false trend in Europe. Because officially, 71% of Russians strongly support war against us and the mass murder of us. Take this into account," Podolyak wrote.
