Georgia's third president responds to statements by Georgian Dream leaders, in which they actively criticize the previous government for agreeing to Russia's membership of the World Trade Organization. Mikheil Saakashvili clarifies:
"Regarding the statements of our totally incompetent and malicious government about Russia's accession to the World Trade Organisation, which they use to justify their own betrayal and accuse us. Georgia was the last country to give its consent, despite 2 years of strong pressure from the Americans. We gave permission only after Russia recognized Psou and Zemo-Zarmag (roki tunnel) as our customs borders. This was a huge diplomatic victory!
After they came, I am sure they forgot this agreement at the behest of the Russians, and now they have the nerve to blame us," Mikheil Saakashvili wrote.
