Georgian people and Georgian opposition do not want war and demand protection of international law - Mikheil Saakashvili's letter says

"The Georgian people, including the Georgian opposition, do not want war. We demand unwavering protection of international law at the same time. We call for the implementation of the Istanbul agreements of 1999 and 12 August 2008 and the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Georgian territory.

We expect the current Georgian government to make the same demand unequivocally. After that, today we will start a peaceful reintegration of the occupied territories.
