"Now they will constantly try similar tricks on Zelensky" - Mikheil Saakashvili on Putin's methods

Georgia's third president wrote about the lies emanating from Russia during the August 2008 war. It is about the provision of dialogue and humanitarian pauses used by the aggressor to mobilise forces.

The third president says Putin will now try to do the same with Zelensky:

"On 9 August 2008, the third day after the war started, our ambassador to the UN, Irakli Alasania, was approached by Russian Ambassador Churkin, who told him that Putin was ready. Irakli informed me as soon as possible. I immediately ordered our liaison officer to call the Kremlin. We were told that Vladimir Vladimirovich was busy and would call back in 1-2 hours. I am still waiting for his call. There was a second episode - we received a Russian offer of a humanitarian pause for the exchange of dead and wounded. They used it to deploy and regroup much more advantageous forces for them.
I say this because now they will constantly try to play similar tricks on Zelensky," Mikheil Saakashvili wrote.
