How does Mamuka Mdinaradze, a member of the Georgian Dream coalition, know about the Strasbourg Court's ruling before the verdict of the Human Rights Court is known? - Nika Gvaramia, CEO of Mtavari Channel and lawyer of Mikheil Saakashvili, demands an explanation.
Nika Gvaramia posted the status on Facebook after Mdinaradze announced in advance on a government broadcast that the Strasbourg Court had declared the suit of the third president admissible and that the National Movement would declare the decision a victory.
"You will definitely have to give explanations to the Ministry of Justice and Mdinaradze, how do you know in advance what and how the court will do. Such reasonable suspicion of leakage of information already existed in the R2 case. Explanations will also have to be given by the national judge (L.Chanturia) and the Georgian court staff who are handling the case," Nika Gvaramia wrote on Facebook.
The third president accuses the Dream government of pursuing politically motivated cases against him. Mikheil Saakashvili appealed to Strasbourg two years ago. The Girgvliani and Gelashvili cases are being discussed, and the third president is challenging three articles:
Article 6 - Right to a fair trial;
Article 7 - No punishment without law;
Article 18. Scope of limitation of rights.
