Nika Gvaramia and Giorgi Gabunia were questioned in the presence of the Magister Judge

Director General of Mtavari Channel Nika Gvaramia and journalist Giorgi Gabunia were questioned as witnesses on the contract killing case in the presence of the magistrate judge today.

Gvaramia said after the investigation was completed that he had provided the investigation with information available to him, but did not specify the source.

Nika Gvaramia says he received information about Giorgi Gabunia from two sources - the State Security and a senior Georgian Dream official. In addition, Nika Gvaramia claims that according to his source, Bokov is not a hitman. He has been studying the route of Gabunia’s movement, so it is likely that there are other people involved in the case:

According to my source, Bokov is not a killer, Bokov is the tip of the group studying the route, therefore he will definitely have an accomplice ... Gabunia has been offered protection, so, we can make a logical conclusion that the danger is not over,- says Nika Gvaramia.

As the journalist of the "Mtavari Channel" , Giorgi Gabunia ,stated after leaving the court , the investigation was interested in the source of information about the surveillance carried out on him.

The focus was on where I got the information from. I had two sources of information - this is Nika Gvaramia, who warned me that there might have been an attempt to liquidate me. There was an emphasis on what information was provided to me, who was the source, and so on. There was an emphasis on whether or not I should have provided this information to State Security. I explain that I have not enough tried to do so - Giorgi Gabunia said after leaving the court.
