Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili saw the "National Movement" behind yesterday's rallies over fuel prices. He spoke on the subject at a government meeting and said that what is happening in the world has an impact on Georgia as well.
"Yesterday we saw that some rallies were organized, and it should be said clearly, the National Movement was behind them. I understand that we as citizens are very concerned about prices and, of course, we all have an interest in ridding our citizens of those increased prices and pressures that stem from these crises," Garibashvili said.
He "reminded" citizens that because of the pandemic, inflation in many countries has reached record levels in recent years and decades. Garibashvili said his opponents were speaking irresponsibly and trying to mislead citizens.
