Ukraine, unfortunately, has turned into a reserve for criminals fleeing Georgia - Tsulukiani

Thea Tsulukiani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, responds to an appeal by the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine regarding Russian "smuggling" into Georgia.

Tsulukiani urges Vereshchuk not to believe "the collectively wanted fugitive Gia Lortkipanidze."

"I want to say to Mrs. Vereshchuk. Dear colleague, I want you to believe and be assured that Georgia's borders are under control.
The Ministry of Finance of Georgia has issued an official statement, and these borders are controlled so that any sanctioned goods, whether military, dual-use materials or goods, do not exceed strict customs controls at our borders. This is reality, everything else is a dirty lie. It is not our fault that Ukraine, unfortunately, during my tenure as Minister of Justice has turned into a reserve for criminals fleeing from Georgia.
Therefore, I wish that the Ukrainian government did not believe criminals, as difficult as it is sometimes to distinguish truth from lies in wartime. I wish they would not believe the wanted Gia Lortkipanidze, who fled from us, refusing to answer for the atrocities they committed against their own people and cooperate not with the radical opposition running from us, but with the Georgian government, for the people and the government are a very loyal friend of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, our people and government prove this with facts in their daily activities," said Tea Tsulukiani.
