Anri Okhanashvili apologizes for his statement and makes excuses

Georgian Dream MP Anri Okhanashvili published another post about his statement about "hiding corpses" in Ukraine, where he apologizes.

On April 6, he said: "Well, if Adeishvili and Lortkipanidze and others help, they will probably teach them what I don't think is acceptable to the Ukrainian authorities, how corpses can be hidden, like  on Rustaveli in Ukraine."

Okhanashvili writes that he apologizes to those who linked the statement to the crime in Bucha and not to the National Movement.

"Yesterday I once again reminded the representatives of the United National Movement about the crimes they committed in our country, which were related to the murder of people and the concealment of these murders in the gravest forms.

Unfortunately, my statement was then linked to the monstrous crime in Bucha, which is the gravest result of Russian military aggression, and it is impossible to hold Ukraine accountable.

If anyone misunderstood my expression and connected the crime of Bucha with objective perception, I sincerely regret it and want to apologize!

However, I cannot apologize to the activists of the National Movement, who absolutely purposefully connect my words with the crime in Bucha and use it for political speculation.

Whatever the speculation, they cannot hide their crimes in Georgia, including torture, murder, robbery and many other heinous acts.

Of course, Russia is fighting a war in Ukraine and is responsible for the consequences there!" - Okhanashvili wrote.

In reference to the same statement, the MP yesterday accused the media and the UNM of a smear campaign.
