Ukraine is winning this war. It has already won the battle of Kyiv, which was a decisive battle. Now there is a big battle for Kharkiv, which will be won by Ukraine, and a big battle for Donbass, where the winner will certainly be Ukraine, Mikheil Saakashvili said, speaking at today's court session.
Mikheil Saakashvili responded to the so-called Lend-Lease Program:
"Yesterday the U.S. Senate passed a lend-lease program, which means that Ukraine will get unlimited weapons, which means that our region will be a thousand times more protected, and that will apply to Georgia under normal conditions." Said Mikheil Saakashvili.
He also reacted to the Georgian government's decision to go to the regions:
"What topic is to talk about, how much gasoline costs almost 5 lari, how people are getting poorer and they have nowhere to run because Ukrainians have flooded Europe. There is talk that now is the time for action.
People are waiting for us to act. It doesn't matter if it's a party, a social organization, now is the time to act so that Georgia won't be sold out. "Friends, if Georgia is sold out, there will be bloodshed," said the third president.
He recalled the war in Abkhazia and the August war and noted that the Russian occupiers began massacring civilians when towns in Abkhazia fell:
"When you surrender then they begin to invade, rape, ravage and destroy your country and today they directly sacrifice our country, so now is not the time to divide it into parties, sympathies and antipathies. People are waiting for unity and substantial changes and people are ready for that." Mikheil Saakashvili said.
According to Mikheil Saakashvili, a government of national unity, elections and active relations with international partners are necessary:
"We will definitely be able to wash away this filth. If we cannot achieve this now, know that we will need security guarantees from the same Ukraine, from America, who will turn to Ukraine from the current representatives? When so many insults are hurled at them at the most crucial moment in their and our history. I say this as a proud Georgian and a citizen of Ukraine," said the third president.
