Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili writes that he is ready for a visit to Ukraine. In this regard, he recently published a post on Facebook, in which he said that he had already communicated with his Ukrainian counterpart.

He said that he confirmed his readiness to visit the chairman of the Rada, and the details will be discussed today.

At the same time, writes Papuashvili, Ruslan Stefanchuk's message and interview on the TV channel "Imedi" assured that "there is an opportunity to resolve all inconveniences and misunderstandings."

"In recent days I have had intensive and friendly communication with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The heroic attitude with which the Ukrainian people and their government defend their homeland and future is truly exemplary.

My colleague confirmed his desire to host me in Ukraine to directly share the human tragedies caused by Russian aggression and the consequences of the devastation.

Today we plan to talk more about Russia's ongoing aggression in Ukraine and the European future of our countries.

We will discuss Georgian-Ukrainian relations and the need for our coordination to avoid similar recent misunderstandings and to further strengthen the historically fraternal ties between our countries and peoples.

Our communication as well as his interview with Imedi TV yesterday convinced me that there is a way to solve all the inconveniences and misunderstandings. With this in mind, I held talks with all the other party leaders and we all agreed that my visit to Ukraine could play an important role in resolving these issues.

I have already contacted a colleague and confirmed my willingness to visit Ukraine. In today's conversation, we will also touch on the details of the visit.

And I repeat, supporting Ukraine and the Ukrainian people is our human and historical duty, and we will fulfill this duty," Papuashvili wrote.
