When will the parliamentary delegation led by Shalva Papuashvili go to Ukraine and who will follow him from the opposition. Several opposition parliamentary parties, including Lelo, have confirmed that they will visit Ukraine by majority vote.
The position of the United National Movement is not yet known.
Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili has already called on political groups to submit an exact list of those leaving for Ukraine by the end of the day.
"These days I had a communication with the Chairman of the Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk. We had a friendly and warm conversation, we learned about many issues. He confirmed his invitation to visit Ukraine and express to our solidarity with the Ukrainian people. This visit will probably take place in the coming days. Now we are clarifying organizational issues. My wish was that the delegation of the Speaker of the Parliament would be multi-party - we had a conversation with representatives of the opposition. We had a proposal to have equal representation, but there was no agreement and then we again proposed to have one representative from each political group. True, in this case, the majority agreed not to increase the representation, in which case the principle of equality would have been violated and the delegation would have been an opposition majority, but given this situation, I believe this proposal is correct and therefore, I will request the opposition to submit their candidates for the delegation in due time. I will have to talk to all the political groups, because organizationally we all understand that it is not easy to organize this visit, it is quite a pressing issue. I hope we will clarify the issue in the first half of the day and we expect participation of all political groups," Shalva Papuashvili said.
In case the UNM refuses to go with the majority delegation, their quota will be filled by "Girchi" and Iago Khvichia will go to Ukraine.
On Friday or Saturday, a parliamentary delegation headed by Shalva Papuashvili will travel from Georgia to Ukraine.
