"Biden's message is not enough for me or Macron" - Kobakhidze on the question whether Russia's actions constitute genocide

The chairman of the Georgian Dream, Irakli Kobakhidze, did not answer the question of whether Russia's actions in Ukraine constituted genocide, and said the international community had no position on the matter.

Kobakhidze quoted the French president as saying that Emmanuel Macron criticized White House leader Joe Biden for his statement on genocide.

"The international community has not yet taken a position on this. Remember, there was Macron's critical statement today about Biden's statement and so on.  We co-authored the complaint in The Hague. We will wait for a proper legal assessment, and when there are legal assessments, then a political assessment can be made by me," Kobakhidze said.

Asked if the U.S. president's message on the issue was enough for him, the Dream chairman said, "Certainly not enough for me or Macron."
