Mikheil Saakashvili personally told the courtroom about the grave state of his health. According to the third president, he lost control of his legs on Sunday, has lost 12 kg in recent days and is still in the condition that he was in during the most critical period of the hunger strike. In addition, according to Mikheil Saakashvili, the treatment process at the Gori military hospital was a "bluff," and he was discharged in a worse condition:

"It was as if the treatment at the Gori hospital was a complete bluff. The refeeding program, the nutrition recovery program had completely failed. now i weigh the same as i used to weigh in the worst period of my hunger strike.
In the last few days I have gained about 12 kg. I can barely eat any food. It may have caused, the fact that I lost control of my legs on Sunday, it's causing severe pain in my legs and arms, it's being treated with pain needles. What I can tell you is pretty much what they saw at the Republican Hospital, and as far as the doctors told me, the situation is horrible.

Gori Hospital was everything but a medical facility. I came back from there in worse condition, in many ways, than I was taken. Of course, this prison is totally unsuitable for medical treatment, but I am grateful to the local doctors for what they managed to do. I'm thankful that the person here who walked me to the doctor's, i couldn't continue the session without a strong painkiller.

No matter what happens to me, I want everyone to know that I will continue this fight until my last breath, I didn't come here to complain, i have nothing to pity for. I know what i was coming to do and I still wanted to try in this critical situation to save Georgia, how it works out, that's for people to determine and history to judge," Mikheil Saakashvili said.

According to Mikheil Saakashvili, he has a permanent general weakness and takes the same medicines he was taking before his imprisonment.
