Davit Arakhamia, one of the most influential members of the Ukrainian government, a member of the negotiating delegation with Russia and chairman of the Verkhovna Rada presidential faction, calls on the European Union and the United States to impose sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili and his business assets.

But the Georgian government does not behave this way. The reason is very simple - Georgia's main oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili is very closely connected with the Russian political elite. The recent Ivanishvili Recordings clearly attest to this.

The whole policy of the Georgian government is to follow the Kremlin's instructions, and this is the reason for all this rhetoric, for not recognizing Russia as an aggressor, for trying to help Russia bypass sanctions, and so on.

Today Ivanishvili has become the Georgian Yanukovich. He and his people are pursuing a policy toward Ukraine that the Georgian people do not support. They want a confrontation between Georgians and Ukrainians.
