Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has reacted to the statements of Georgian Dream leaders and stated that it is unacceptable to talk about the existence of a "war party" in the country.
She also drew attention to the accusations made against the people's advocate in this regard:
"I think that talking about a war party in Georgia is out of the question, for me it does not exist, no one is a supporter of a war in Georgia, and I want to personally defend the people's advocate. I think it is a very important institution. .
It's also distasteful, when, some people were talking about some form of unauthorized trade going on in Georgia to circumvent sanctions. There was no doubt about it here, and I think no one should play a role in creating doubt in our country, because the reputation of our country is our main defender in the future," said Salome Zurabishvili.
At the same time, the President claims that Mikheil Saakashvili's imprisonment was not the topic of her meetings with the congressmen.
As a reminder, yesterday, Georgian Dream leader Irakli Kobakhidze reiterated that the National Movement is the "party of war. In addition, Kobakhidze stated that people's advocate Nino Lomjaria was "part of this party" and that he also wanted "war to break out in the country.
