Implement special named instructions regarding the penitentiary system

Nika Gvaramia, the lawyer of the third president at the Tbilisi City Court, once again urged the judge to "Implement special directives for the penitentiary, with special, named instructions, not general instructions.

Gvaramia noted that the prison does not treat somatic symptoms, and Mikheil Saakashvili is in critical condition.

"Each subsequent visit reveals a much worse situation, so it is very important for us that the court give specific instructions under Article 191 Prima, especially since the article provides the necessary measures," Nika Gvaramia said.

In addition, Nika Gvaramia said that Mikheil Saakashvili's condition must be immediately stabilized.

"At this moment, the decision on Saakashvili's condition is fully within your competence, it is both a right and also, a duty, because there is a new episode of torture and inhuman treatment, I am not talking about what the investigation is about," he said.

He urged the judge to listen to the assessments of specialists regarding the state of health of Mikheil Saakashvili.
